Watching the behind the scenes of this movie really opened my eyes to the talent and determination it took to create this great masterpiece. I was really captivated by the set design and the amount of tiny lights and surrounding lights there were to make their world come to life. They really focused on tiny aspects and details to make their characters come to life as well the environment. In addition to this, I was excited to see the creation of a machine that lives within the clay characters (second picture below) in which makes the movement of each character have a smoother transition from shot to shot. The process of combining this metal machine inside the clay definitely took a bunch of hours but the results were totally worth it as the characters were controlled much smoother. It was nice seeing the whole team talk about their experience of the making of “The nightmare before Christmas” because they all talked about how hard it was but how much they enjoyed the process of it, and thats really inspiring.
